I had to start by going thru my fabric stash and purging the oldest fabric. Some of it I've had for over a decade, and if I haven't done anything with it so far, than I'm probably not going to. (Goodwill is going to love me.) Then I started putting fabric back in it's place neatly folded, stacked by fabric type than color combination.
Then I started going thru drawers. You know sometimes you think you want to use a drawer for one thing and then when you actually start using it, you find something else would go there better. Well, we've been in this house for 3 years.....it was time to move some things around to make it more efficient. I also organized my thread by type and hung some more corkboard for my tools.
Now I just have to finish all the UFO's (unfinished objects) that I found. (You see them on both pictures at the end of the counters. On one shot there's a whole box of UFO's) Here's a challenge for you. Try finishing up one project a week that you've previously laid down and forgotten about and then send me the pics and I will showcase them on the blog!
So here's the fruits of my labor.

Hey there my dear sweet friend! This is Jenn, from MUIB, and I have to say WoW! You go girl! First of all, wishing you a warm welcome to the world of blogging, but I am more in awe of how professional your sewing room/office is....how much would you charge to come to NC and show me how to accomplish THIS??!!
Be proud, my sweet friend...awesome job, on all fronts! So proud of you!
With Love and Friendship,
Jenn
your sewing room is my dream! I'm waiting for a "room of my own"...right now my sewing machine is at the end of the hallway, and the teeny linen closet beside it is my storeroom :)
